Footstops – Travel Blog and Community
Footstops is a travel community web application, combining blog and photo sharing with Google Maps to create media rich and interactive journals of travels.
When it was created, Footstops was one of the first sites to incorporate Google Maps (before the Maps API was revealed) and was prominently featured by Google. It was also a premier 3rd party application in the early days of Facebook’s API announcement. Since then, the site has been closed for registration and put on hold due to a lack of site management.
There are upcoming plans in place for a revival of the site.
